Bryce Frandsen, D.M.D.

Dr. Frandsen was born and raised near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. He spent most of his time in the mountains and enjoying all Utah has to offer. He enjoyed camping, skiing and dirt biking with his Dad and three brothers. Now with three kids of his own, he enjoys teaching them to appreciate all the same activities. He has always had a passion for learning about nature and science. He also enjoyed learning and improving as he pushed his abilities on the slopes or on the lacrosse field. That drive to expand his abilities and elevate his talents, continues now in his passion for excellent dentistry. Dr. Frandsen has lived most of his life in Utah, except for 2 years serving a mission in Dallas, Texas and 2 years in Rexburg, Idaho where he finished his undergraduate studies. Since he was married, and already had 2 kids by the time he started dental school, he was grateful he could keep them all in Utah, as he attended and graduated from the prestigious, private Roseman University in South Jordan.

Thomas Zafiratos, D.D.S.

Dr. Thomas Zafiratos, is a seasoned dentist originally from Chicago, he has a deep-rooted passion for dentistry. Graduating from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1985, he discovered and became passionate about Neuro Muscular Dentistry, focusing on jaw and mouth functionality. In 1985, Thomas married Lucy Zanichelli, and together, they’ve raised a family with three children and a loved granddaughter. Family values are a priority to him. He began his dental career opening a dental practice in Chicago in the fall of 1985, Thomas later relocated to Summerlin, Nevada, prioritizing family well-being in a warmer environment. Beyond his dental practice, Dr. Zafiratos finds strength in running, with a special love for trail running. He believes in a patient-centered approach with an emphasis on providing detailed information to help patients make informed decisions. With over 35 years of experience, Thomas looks forward to extending personalized and compassionate dental care and developing relationships in your healthy community.

Dr. Luis Franco - Endodontist

I had a retreat root canal done yesterday, and have had zero pain afterward. Dr. Franco has the nicest bedside manner and has the greatest skills to go along with kindness. I highly recommend using him for your endodontics!

Dr. Franco is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an officer. He received his degree in Flight Operations from Westminster College, DDS from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Dr. Franco has a passion for educating others about patient care and the incredibly interesting world of endodontics. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming and learning how to play the piano and electric guitar.

Dr. Shaun Heward - Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

I had oral surgery today. I had anesthesia and everything went perfectly. The whole team was great! Dr. Shaun Heward, the surgeon, is so caring and kind. He called me twice before my surgery to explain everything that would be done and to answer my questions. It really put me at ease.

Dr. Shaun Heward was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School and completed his undergraduate at University of Utah. During this time he worked as a dental laboratory technician making crowns and bridges. He then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he began medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. While at the University of Michigan, he also completed his internship in general surgery, residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Heward has extensive surgical training in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), tumors/cysts of the jaws, face trauma, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, cleft lip and palate, face reconstruction and bone grafting. He is delighted to have moved back to his home state of Utah and working with Platinum Dental Services. He also has a passion for serving others abroad and continues to treat less fortunate patients on mission trips overseas. When Dr. Heward is not at work he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, biking, shooting, gardening, wood working and cooking.

Dr. Daniel Burstein - Orthodontist

I was looking for an Orthodontist and am so glad I found Dr. Burstein! He was very nice and knew the best treatments to help me get my best smile. I would recommend him to anyone!

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1960. My family moved to the USA in 1962. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish. We moved to California where I went to college, dental school, and orthodontic specialty school where I became an Orthodontist in 2020. My wife and I moved to Atlanta, GA in 1993 where we raised 3 boys who are now all out of the house. I have owned and operated my orthodontic practice in Atlanta since 1995. I recently sold my office to join Platinum. I have years of experience in managing an orthodontic practice both in clinical and administrative areas. I am proficient in all clinical aspects of orthodontic care. I specialize in expanders, habit appliances, braces, bite correctors, in house aligners using Orchestrate 3D software, as well as invisalign. My goal is to join a dental/orthodontic group where I can concentrate on providing treatment to patients in need. I joined Platinum because I aim to provide care to those in need without the distraction of running a private practice. I also look forward to enjoying more professional interactions and participation in more interdisciplinary orthodontic treatment plans.
